Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making TrueMart usable for everyone.
1Our commitment
TrueMart is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our standard.
2What we do
- Use semantic HTML and ARIA labels for screen-reader compatibility
- Ensure colour contrast meets WCAG AA standards (4.5:1 for body text)
- Provide alt text on product images
- Ensure all interactive elements are keyboard-accessible
- Support browser zoom up to 200% without loss of functionality
- Avoid content that flashes or auto-plays
3Known limitations
We are a small UK marketplace and continuously working to improve accessibility. Current known limitations:
- Some product images uploaded by vendors may have generic alt text
- Older blog posts may have minor contrast issues
- The product filter sidebar uses custom controls that may behave differently with assistive technology compared to native HTML elements
We are actively addressing these.
4How to contact us
If you encounter any accessibility barrier on TrueMart, please email [email protected] with:
- The page URL
- A description of the problem
- The assistive technology you are using (if applicable)
We aim to respond within 5 working days.
5Your rights
This statement is published under the Equality Act 2010, which prohibits discrimination against disabled users in the provision of services. If you are unable to access information or services because of an accessibility issue, please tell us — we will provide reasonable adjustments.
